Optima Type Specimen

So here's my ver. 1.0 of my poster.
-Logotype is terrible. Already reworking it.
-Background image changed/removed.
-Extend the words down.

I was really shocked at the reception it got in class critique. Figured it'd get ripped apart. XD
Typesetting the actual names was hell but it was all worth it. Overall.. easy fixes and probably portfolio material.

Possible new self logo?

I hate taking CMPA and it doesn't help that it's at 8AM. We were assigned to make a logo for ourselves and it needed an image as well as type so I couldn't use my existing one. :/ So after doodling for a few days I randomly came up with this. I don't even like elephants forreal.. but for the sake of passing I chose this one. Elephants symbolize wisdom and power which describe me perfectly.... >_> haha I do enjoy this happy accident and who knows I might actually adopt it later on. Enjoi

OC - Elise

I still can't believe I finished CG'ing a character! It's probably because this one's for a grade. T_T Elise came into this world in an odd way.. I was "taking notes" in a Dreamweaver lecture and I had a logo of a swan/goose for another class (which you can sorta see on her chest) and I tried to make a character out of that logo. She has an Utena/Zechz/Char influence and I didn't realize Sakura's color scheme. XD I really love her design and I'm please with how things turned out since it's been awhile since I've attempted a CG. Now with renewed confidence I can progress. :)

I think... it's about time we break up.

Well.. look who we have here. We all know Facebook drops new layouts on us without warning and without and customization options, but this one definitely takes the cake. As the Bauhaus mantra is "Form follows function" my favorite social networking site decided to go with the "Function can go F*ck itself". I've yet to test out the new video chat but was it really necessary to revamp the existing design for it? Now I have a friends list that doesn't work and a feed that involves me in my friend's lives more than ever for no reason.

I think it's time to move on. :]

A toast to new beginnings

So prior to this post, I used this blog as a personal refuge to vent my frustrations, but soon enough it got monotonous and bitching about the same old problems gets very boring very fast. Now I prefer to take those out on my sketchbooks and just illustrate whatever is on my mind. Don't worry though, at times it's far more entertaining to draw with words than it is with a pencil and I'll share these thoughts and experiences with you all.

I'll try my best to update once a week. So check back whenever you can and enjoy!
